GUWAHATI, March 27: Three people, including a minor, all travelling in an auto-van, were killed at Sonapur on the outskirts of Guwahati early Thursday morning after the three-wheeler rammed into a stationary truck.

The deceased trio, who was seated in the front compartment of the van, were travelling in the auto-van bearing registration number AS-21-AC-3309 moving in the direction of Jagiroad when the vehicle rammed into the stationary truck (bearing registration number AS-01-PC-5615) leading to their deaths.

When News Live’s crew reached the accident spot, the three dead occupants of the vehicle were still trapped inside the mangled remains of the auto-van’s seating compartment.

Eyewitnesses said the auto-van seemed to be at fault since the truck was stationed inside the demarcating area and initially, it is being believed that the auto-van came in considerable speed and rammed into the rear end of the truck.
