USTM celebrates Republic Day

GUWAHATI: University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) celebrated 72^nd Republic Day with active participation of students, faculty members and administrative staff at its campus.

Vice Chancellor Prof. G.D. Sharma unfurled the national flag in the morning in the presence of USTMs advisor Dr. RK Sharma and other dignitaries.

“Students should work towards nation building and should take progress of the country as their foremost priority”, said Prof. G.D. Sharma while addressing the gathering.

He advised the students to do constructive works for the nation and humanity, apart from their regular studies.

On the other hand, various sports activities have been organised to mark the day. Sports and games like Blind hit (Tekeli bhanga/Haari bhanga) game, Tug-of-War, Musical Chair etc were held soon after the flag hoisting ceremony at the Amenity Centre of the university.
