Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal extends new year greetings

GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal has conveyed new year greetings to the people of the state.

“As we step into a new year, I extend my greetings to all and pray for peace, progress and prosperity,” Sonowal said in a statement.

In his greetings Sonowal stated that 2020 has tested humanity’s patience and resilience.

“We are hopeful that the year ahead will bring good health and happiness to all. I wish the New Year takes Assam further on a higher growth trajectory bringing holistic development to all,” he added.
