Rahul Gandhi in Guwahati to pay tribute to Tarun Gogoi

GUWAHATI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached Guwahati on Wednesday morning to pay his tribute to former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi who had passed away on Monday following post-COVID complications.

Gandhi has landed at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport. He will directly head towards Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra where the mortal remains of the Congress veteran are kept.

Gandhi will remain in Guwahati for two hours.

The last rites of former Assam chief minister will be performed on November 26.
