875 new cases detected, 1,670 more patients recover; death toll rises to 655 in Assam

Guwahati: Assam reported 875 new cases raised the tally to 169985, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Saturday. 

Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 875 #COVID cases detected today out of 15347 tests.

Positivity Rate- 5.70% Kamrup M- 214; Jorhat- 159 Total cases 169985 Recovered 38307 Active cases 31020 Deaths 655.

On the other hand, 1670 patients have cured from different places of Assam.

The health minister tweeted, “Discharge Alert 1⃣6⃣7⃣0⃣ patients discharged today.

Today, our discharged patients’ count is almost double to that of new patients added. Good job team doctors   Total Discharged Patients: 139977  Active Patients: 29350.”
