Assam conducts 30 lakh COVID-19 tests

GUWAHATI: Assam has been among forerunners in conducting COVID-19 tests in the country. Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma informed media persons that so far, 30 lakh COVID-19 tests have been done in the state.

Dr. Sarma stated that health department has been aiming at 1 lakh tests on September 28, 29 and 30.

On the other hand, a 40-bedded ICU will be introduced at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) from tomorrow.
