Assam Weather forecast: Heavy rainfall predicted from Monday

Guwahati: Heavy rainfall has been predicted in Assam for next few days. Parts of northeast India will also received the rainfall. The monsoon trough ran over Assam, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday morning, reported weather.com.

The low pressure area will produce fairly widespread to widespread rain and thunderstorms with isolated heavy rain over North Eastern India on Sunday and Monday. Heavy rainfall is likely over isolated places of Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on Sunday, and over isolated places of Assam, Meghalaya and Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

A trough will be over Southern India for the next few days. It will bring fairly widespread to widespread rain and thunderstorms with isolated heavy rain over Southern India. Heavy rainfall is possible over isolated places of Andhra Pradesh from Sunday onward.
