Kolong river erodes Borpak-Borghuli road

JORABAT, Oct 19 - In a major setback for the people of Borpak, Borghuli and nearby villages of Maloibari area under Sonapur revenue circle, the most important road in the area - considered to be its lifeline - has been eroded by the Kolong river at Borghuli, paralysing road communication. According to the villagers, a stretch of the Borpak-Borghuli concrete block-paved road got completely breached early Sunday morning. It was an outcome of continuous but minor erosion by the Kolong river for about four years, they said.
