Assam’s COVID-19 count crosses 7,000-mark
GUWAHATI: The number of total COVID-19 positive cases in Assam has crossed the 7,000-mark with the addition of 246 new cases on Saturday. The total count now stands at 7165.
Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma mentioned in his tweet that the number of active cases in the state is now 2338. So far 4814 patients have recovered from the disease.

With the view of rising cases in the state, the health department has been leaving no stone unturned to provide the best possible treatment to the patients. While Patanjali Yogapeeth at Mirza is being converted into a 250-bedded COVID hospital, another massive facility is coming up at Khanapara in Guwahati.
