More than hundreds of vehicles remain stranded at National Highway 31, Amingaon after a dangerous landslide triggered by torrential rains, blocked the roads causing trouble for residents and commuters.

The Kamrup district administration has urged all vehicles coming from Guwahati to use the Hajo road in view of the road blockade due to landslides on National Highway- 31, Amingaon Jayaguru. However, hundreds of vehicles are still stranded on the highway.

Due to heavy erosion of rocks and soil from the hills, a landslide occurred yesterday causing blockade on the highway. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and State Disaster Response Fore (SDRF) are at the landslide site and trying to clear the road blockade.
