Major fire outbreak in Guwahati, goods worth Rs 10 lakhs gutted in fire

Guwahati: A major fire broke out in Guwahati’s Pandu area in the wee hours of Monday morning causing severe damages. As many as three houses were gutted in fire caused by two cylinder explosion at Joymoti Nagar.

Locals called the fire tender after the fire started spreading to nearby localities. The incident occurred at around 2 am post midnight.

As per preliminary reports, at least 10 lakh worth damages have been reported. The neighbourhood youth rescued the families and tried recovering essential properties and documents.

Then after six fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the blaze.
