Mangaldoi to get a Skill University with an investment of Rs 900 crore

Guwahati: On Thursday, the Assam Cabinet approved Assam Skill Development University Bill. This will provide for setting up a Skill University in Mangaldoi with an investment of Rs 900 crore in a 100 bigha plot.

Assam Government has tied up with ITE Education Service, Singapore for setting up of a Skill University.

The Cabinet meeting also gave its approval for the Assam Heritage Protection and Preservation Bill. Other key decision included increasing the upper age limit for State government jobs for group III and group IV posts for two years so that the unemployed can now apply for jobs up to 40 years.
