Budget Session of Parliament to resume today

New Delhi: The second half of the Parliament’s Budget Session is set to resume today. The session is likely to get heated up as the Congress party said that it will seek the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his alleged failure in the national capital to maintain peace and law and order.

 

The Budget session is scheduled to conclude on April 3. The first half of the Budget Session began on January 31 with an address by President Ram Nath Kovind to the joint sitting of the two houses.

On Sunday, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that his party will continue to press for the resignation of Amit Shah and his party would raise important issues and unmask them.

 

He further added that Delhi violence took under their watch and the same thing is now starting in West Bengal. “They are creating the same atmosphere. ‘Goli Maaro Salon Ko’ slogan is being raised in West Bengal,” he said.

The second half of the Budget Session is expected to push legislative agenda which includes Bills relating to surrogacy and resolution of disputed tax.
