Gambling den busted at Sonari, six gamblers arrested

GUWAHATI: Police busted a gambling den at Sonari under Charaideo district on Wednesday night. The crackdown on gambling was carried out in Parbatipur area of Sonari.

Police also arrested six gamblers in the operation. The gamblers have been identified as Diganta Sangmai, Naba Borah, Rajib Kotoky, Basanta Mahato, Debajit Konwar and Pradip Kumar Tati.

Diganta Sangmai is reportedly Charaideo district president of Tai Ahom Students’ Union.
