Doors of Maa Kamakhya Devalay open for religious rituals

GUWAHATI: The Maa Kamakhya Devalay doors opened for religious rituals on Saturday morning at around 02:29 AM. Even though the doors are closed for devotees till June 30 but after the completion of ‘Nivritti’, the doors have been opened for religious rituals.

Earlier, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the Maa Kamakhya Devalay authorities decided not to hold Ambubachi Mela and this is the second consecutive year where devotees did not witness the Ambubachi Mela.

It is to be mentioned that the Ambubachi started at 07:53 AM (pravritti) on June 22 (Monday) and concluded (Nivritti) on June 25 (Thursday) at 08:16 PM.
