Hundreds of fish found dead in Dighalipukhuri

GUWAHATI: Hundreds of dead fish washed ashore at Dighalipukhuri in Guwahati on Sunday.

Neighbors in the area say that the dead fish started accumulating near the Dighalipukhuri on Saturday evening and there were hundreds of dead fish piled till Sunday morning.

The reason behind the incident is still unknown, but people suspect this happened due to polluted water.

It is to be mentioned that entry to Dighalipukhuri park was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the reason behind the incident will come to light after proper investigation.
