Smuggled Wood Laden Trucks Seized

Six smuggled wood laden trucks have seized by the Dibrugarh Forest department at the Sesa Tinitoliya region in Dibrugarh on Wednesday morning.

As per reports, the officials of the department could seize them when the trucks were going towards Jorhat from Arunachal Pradesh. Moreover, it has been alleged that lots of such smuggled wood laden trucks use to pass via Tinsukia and Dibrugarh regularly.

Suspiciously, during the daylight also, the driver and the handymen of the trucks could manage to escape from the scene, and so the department is unable to say any information in this regard, from where and how the trucks use to pass.

It may be stated that the seized woods worth would be around crores.
