Smuggled wood seized in Sadiya

Huge numbers of Khayer Wood has seized at the Basagaon village of Sadiya region by the locals of the region on Friday evening.

As per reports, the woods have been smuggling for the long term by using the road and the river way too. The seized woods have seized when the smugglers were carrying the woods by a boat from the Luhit district of Arunachal Pradesh to the various districts of Assam.

It may be stated that the seized woods would be worth more than Rs 3 lakhs. However, the locals have called the Forest Department and handed over the woods to them.
