Elephant Safari opens in Kaziranga National Park

Guwahati: Elephant safari in the Kaziranga National Park (KNP) has been opened for tourists. The KNP was recently opened in early October for tourists after it remained closed since April due to floods.

Several tourist from the national as well as abroad have thronged to visit Kaziranga National park since its opening. The elephant safari has been opened in the Kohora and Bagori range of the park.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has appealed everyone to treat tourists coming to KNP as guests of the state. He further expressed his confidence that the number of tourists would increase this year. Mr. Sonowal also directed the Kaziranga National park authorities to keep strict vigil regarding plastic ban inside the park premises.
