NE Book Fair starts today

The 21st North East Book-Fair at Chandmari AEI Field, organised by the All Assam Publishers and Book Sellers Association, will be inaugurated by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday. The inaugural ceremony will be held at 4 PM.

According to the organising committee, there will be 75 publishers and booksellers from all over the country in this year’s book-fair, which is scheduled from November 1 to November 12. The committee further informed that over 150 Assamese books will be released during the fair.

The book-fair has been dedicated to the memory of eminent educationist Tabu Ram Taid and the main stage is dedicated to the memory of GL Agarwala and Benu Misra.
