Flood Situation Slightly Improves in Assam

Although the flood situation in Assam slightly improves still the flood-affected victims are in the relief camps as the water has not yet drained off completely.
According to government data, the fourth wave of flood-affected 171 villages in 13 revenue circles of six districts viz Nagaon, Golaghat, Jorhat, Hojai, Karbi Anglong, and West Karbi Anglong. A total of 65,098 populations have been affected by floods.
The data provided by the government also says that at present, 42 numbers of relief camps are operational in the districts of Nagaon, Golaghat and Karbi Anglong with 22,806 numbers of inmates. 40 relief distribution centers are also operational in the districts.
However, the water level of the Dhansiri River and Kapili River are at danger level due to which the villages in the above-mentioned districts have been submerged underwater.
