Hojai reeling under Kopili waters, villagers leaving for safe areas

Hojai: Kopili flood wreaks havoc in several villages under Hojai district. The villages include Laskar Pathar, Formarpar, Nobhonga, Hatimora, Jathihora, Kumurakota and others.

Many paddy fields are submerged in the river water. Heavy downpour and flood water have left villagers taking recluse in safe areas.

It is to be mentioned that the pipeline burst in Kopili Hydal Power Project early this month have left utter damage not only to the project site but also affected most villages through floods in Dima Hasao district.
