Massive fire breaks out at Borkhola

A devastating fire broke out at Chandranathpur Bazar in Borkhola area under Cachar district on Thursday night. During the incident, at least six people sustained serious injuries.

According to reports, the fire gutted more than 15 shops. One of the injured has been admitted to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) for further treatment.

Four firefighters reached the spot immediately after the incident was reported. Properties worth several lakhs gutted in the fire.

Locals said that an LPG cylinder explosion triggered the fire.
