Pratidin Time journo attack: Accused arrested

The man, who misbehaved and physically assaulted a lady journalist of Pratidin Time during news coverage in Guwahati on Saturday, has been arrested by the Paltanbazar Police. Following a case lodged by Pratidin Time, the Police initiated the probe and arrested the accused.

The man has been identified as Pranabjyoti Das.

Top official of Paltanbazar police informed that apart from the footage that Pratidin Time provided as evidence against Das, police also collected the CCTV visuals from the Petrol pump at Bora Service, where the incident took place. Based on the footage, the police arrested the accused.

It may be mentioned here that accused Das was caught on the camera while physically assaulting the lady journalist during news coverage. It was seen that he had not only assaulted the journalist but also threatened her of dire consequences.
