Wild elephant walks on GS Road in broad daylight

On Tuesday afternoon a wild elephant created a lot of panic and curiosity among the busy residents of Guwahati.

The elephant was first spotted in Noonmati area and then it walked all its way to Ganeshguri via Hengrabari. According to forest officials the tusker has come out of the Amchang wildlife sanctuary in search of food and got separated from its group.

As reports last came in the elephant is still on a stroll at the busy G S Road.

Police, administration and forest department officials are following the pachyderm as there is no way they could divert his path for the moment.
